Voices in the Dark

Just rewatched the excellent Babylon 5 movie and enjoyed it greatly. I like the contrast between the theological first half and the moral dilemma of of the second half, both explore human nature but in very different ways.

I'm being given some cash

for the powercut the other day, a cheque for £20, for my inconvenience, ie lack of internet (a girl's got to browe online for clothes, three hours just isn#t enough most days)

Sex & the City 2

The stars of Sex and the City have signed up for a sequel to last year's hit film of the US TV show.

I loved the series but the idea of a movie just left me cold...

worlds worst driver?

A South Korean grandmother has failed her written driving test 771 times.

That's 770 more times than it took me and less times than a lot of people should sit theirs, given the horrendously bad driving I've had to avoid while I'm out driving.

speeling errez

England's Schools Minister, Jim Knight, has urged pupils to pay more attention to proof reading their work - admitting his own blog was strewn with errors. Errors include: receieved, maintainence, convicned, curently, similiar, foce, pernsioners, reccess and archeaological.

Any spelling errors in my blog are either deliberate, or the result of typing at 6am...

bathtime sponges came before humans!

Traces of animal life have been found in rocks dating back 635 million years.

These spongey creatures evolved a long time before the invention of the whirlpool bath, that's not very good planning, so we can safely get rid of those crackpot non-evolution theories on this exciting new evidence :)

shoes arrived here

despite the company's best efforts not to let me know they were on their way :(

had a power cut here

when I got in, don't know how long everything's been off as I've been out at work, so everything in my freezer could well have spoiled :(

I already pretty much guessed it

You Are 100% Feminine, 0% Masculine

You are totally in touch with your feminine side.

Chances are, you are a very typical woman.

And if you're a guy, then you're just super sensitive.

Donor kidney removed via vagina

US surgeons say they have successfully removed a healthy donor kidney through a small incision in the back of the donor's vagina.

Definetly a reason for getting SRS :)

Earth 2?

The smallest planet yet found outside the Solar System has been detected by a French space telescope.

It's still twice as big as us so it'd probably be too massive (gravity wise) for humans to live there and that's assuming it even has an atmosphere and one with enough oxygen and non-poisonous chemicals for us to survive. After all we evolved to live here on Earth so we'd have to find a new home that's exactly like ours in the future if we wanted to go on holiday there...

credit crunch over?

A shipwreck believed to contain more than a billion dollars of gold has been discovered at the bottom of the English Channel.

The gold apparently belongs to Queenie so assuming it goes into the treasury and not brown envelopes and other people's pockets it'll help the UK economy out so they can buy their way out of the slump.

home

at last, after a 9 hour shift of evil death! made worse by leaving home so early for the snow i arrived at work half an hour before I needed to be there and before everyone else arrived late! Still my DVD was there waiting for me on the mat when I got home just now, something to watch tonight before I go to sleep.

yay, snow

although I won't be saying that if my bus doesn't arrive on time...

tiny bit of snow here

nothing like the huge drifts they were talking about on the news :(

Naturism Unnatural?

A local Swiss government plans to take action against a sudden and apparently unwelcome phenomenon - naked hikers.

It seems to me they're picking on a minority, should naturists have legal protection? Personally anyone insane enough to go out naked in the middle of winter are risking their health, far better to get your kit off on a sunny beach with gentle waves and warm sand around rather than risk getting frozen fun bags and the blokes will have their own worries too!
