Blackadders

There's been several different Black Adders throughout the ages:

Blackaddercus, a Roman soldier
Prince Edmund, Duke of Edinburgh aka 'The Black Adder'
Lord Edmund Blackadder courtier to Queen Elizabeth I
Edmund Blackadder, butler to the Prince Regent
Sir Edmund Blackadder, the royalist supporter of King Charles
Ebeneezer Blackadder, the kindest, lovliest man in all the land
Captain Edmund Blackadder a british soldier serving in the Somme
Edmund Blackadder the inventer of a time machine and later King Edmund III
Commander Blackadder a space age warrior

I think my favourite is the butler, being lower down the pecking order really brings out his nastiness more than the other characters, he's much more cerebral and his plans are more devious and dangerous and he gets some of the best lines too.
